James “Jim” Ingersoll, 36, of Riverside, Iowa, died Friday, July 31, 2009 in Mitchell, South Dakota from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services for Jim were Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 1:30 pm at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Ileene Schicker of the Washington United Methodist Church presided. Casket bearers were Max Bloomquist, Mitch Bloomquist, Chad Good, Russell Lamp, Fred Nichols and Rob Howard. Burial was in Columbus City Cemetery. Following the interment there was a time of food and fellowship at the Victory Christian Center in Columbus Junction. Visitation was held on Monday, August 3rd from 3:00-7:00 pm at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Jim’s name. James Burton Ingersoll was born March 31, 1973 in Muscatine, IA, the son of Elbert James Ingersoll and Arletta Seering Howard. On March 29, 1997 Jim was united in marriage to Kimberly D. Hall in Nashville, TN. Jim was employed by Oral B in Iowa City as a mechanic for 13 years. He was a member of Pheasants Forever and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and spending time with family and friends.

Jim will be dearly missed by his wife, Kimberly of Riverside; his parents, Elbert James “Jim” Ingersoll and wife, Anita of Fredonia, IA and Arletta Howard and husband, Gary of Ainsworth, IA; two sisters, Pam Bloomquist and husband, Steve of Fruitland, IA and Vickie Wilson and husband, Doug of Columbus Junction; five brothers, Ritch Mumm and wife, Michele of Walford, IA, Todd Mumm and wife, Deanne of Parnell, IA, Steve Howard and wife, Charla of Washington, IA, Rob Howard of Crawfordsville, IA and Jamie Howard and wife, Dawn of Wayland, IA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents.
