Dawn Eloisa Montelongo, age 47, of Washington died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital after failing in health for the past two years.

Mass of the Resurrection was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West Liberty with Father Dennis Martin officiating. Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. Friday until time of services at the church. Interment took place at the Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine. A general memorial has been established. Eloisa was born on March 13, 1963 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Donald and Grace Gertrude (Spencer) Mentria. She graduated from Muscatine High School. Eloisa was united in marriage to Manny Montelongo. She lived most of her life in Muscatine. She lived in West Liberty for ten years before moving to Washington. She worked for Northrup King and did bartending. She enjoyed music.

Eloisa is survived by her son, Mite Silva of Washington; son, Silvestre Garcia of Washington; and one sister, Lette Garcia of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Donna Mintrea Diaz; and one brother.
