Amy Pearl Westlake Brenneman, 102, of Lone Tree, died Sunday morning, June 13, 2010, at the Mercy Hospital Hospice Unit in Iowa City.

Funeral services for Amy will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Lone Tree Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Kenneth Brenneman, Vernon Brenneman, Raymond Brenneman, Ronald Brenneman, Kenneth Dodson and Doug Magruder. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Lone Tree United Presbyterian Church. Visitation for Amy will be held on Wednesday, June 16, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Mercy Hospice of Iowa City in Amy’s name. Arrangements are by Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Online condolences may be sent to the Brenneman family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Amy Pearl Westlake was born June 20, 1907, in Cotter, IA, the daughter of James and Fannie (Stone) Westlake. On January 4, 1928, Amy was united in marriage to Harry C. Brenneman in Muscatine. Amy was a homemaker and farm wife. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, raising her six children and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Amy will be deeply missed by her children, Audrey Dodson and her husband, Kenneth, Kenneth Brenneman and his wife, Eunice, Vernon Brenneman and his wife, Deborah, Raymond Brenneman and his wife, Andrea, Ronald Brenneman and his wife, Jane, Debbie Magruder and her husband, Doug, all of Lone Tree; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry on February 7, 1987, one great-grandchild, Sandy Sue Brenneman and five brothers, Charlie, Frank, Earl, Merle and Roy and three sisters, Elsie, Fern and Cora Mae.
