Chester "Chet" Fuller, age 74, died April 19, 1994 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

Chester was born March 2, 1920 to Marion Booth and Izora Andrews Fuller in Omaha, Arkansas. He married E. Pauline McCleary, April 7, 1956 in Letts. They resided in Letts until moving to Muscatine in 1988.

Chet attended school at Hartville, MO before entering the Army. He surved in the Philippines during WW-II. He was a member of the VFW Post #1556.

Chester (Chet) worked for Ralston Purina as a Feeding Advisor in the Letts, Iowa area. He joined Thermogas Co. and later became District Manager. After 30 years he retired from Thermogas Co. in 1982. Upon retiring he and his wife, Pauline, did volunteer work for various missions in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Arizona. He was also noted for his volunteer work at his local church, Hillcrest Baptist, and with various individuals throughout the Muscatine and Letts areas. His favorite hobby was fishing.

He is survived by his wife Pauline; 2 sons, M. Chester and Jerry D., Muscatine; one daughter, Mrs. Harlan (Wanda) Harvey, Letts; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Neil, Muscatine; 3 sisters, Glada Fuller and Mrs. Fred (Eda) Estabrook, Muscatine, and Mrs. Linna Woods, Goodman, MO.

Services were April 21, 1994, 10 a.m. at the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Muscatine, with Pastor Darryl Erickson and Rev. Walden Askren officiating. Burial was in Letts Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion and the VFW. Pallbearers were Connie Randolph, Lyle Krueger, Robert Morris, Robert Wendlandt, Ed Hayes, and Leonard Sloat. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Vesterfelt, Bob Bosch, Milo Viner, Albert Starkweather, Don Siewert, Gary Lee, Bob Carey, Cloyce Spears, Dicki Salemink.

Ushers were Ralph Jeambey, Richard Payne, Dave Chesling and Tim Cunningham. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and on e brother.
