Carleen Marie Johnson, age 78 of the Morning Sun Care Center, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998 at Burlington Medical Center.

The daughter of Earl and Lady Lucille (Young) Dutro, she was born Dec. 14, 1919 at Rock Island, Illinois. On January 14, 1941 she married Floyd A. Johnson; he died May 30, 1982.

She was a graduate of the Minneapolis High School System, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She worked for many years in Davenport, retiring in 1985. She was of the Lutheran Faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Lee Breder of Mediapolis; one son, Earl T. Johnson of Tempe, Arizona; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruby Hansen of Sun City, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, and one sister.

Mrs. Johnson has been cremated. Memorial services will be held Monday, December 14, 1998, at 1:30 p.m. from the Salem Lutheran Church in Moline, Illinois.

Memorials in her name may be made to Alzheimers Research.

Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, Mediapolis, was in charge of local arrangements.
