Angela 'Angie' Marie Millard, age 17, of Oakville, IA, died Saturday night October 21, 1995 at the Wykert's Landing of the Mississippi River southeast of Oakville.

The daughter of Cari Beardsley and Ricky Millard, she was born August 30, 1978 at Ft. Madison, IA.

Angela was a Junior at Wapello High School as an honor roll student. She was a waitress at the CJ Diner at Columbus Junction. She enjoyed bymnastics and loved mushroom hunting. She also enjoyed crafts and cooking. while living in Prairie Du Chein, WI, as a freshman Angie was on the varsity gymnastic team.

Survivors include her mother, Cari Green; her father, Ricky Millard of Peoria Heights, IL; two sisters, Catrina Lynn Millard and Trisha Anne Millard both at home; three half-sisters, Amanda Millard, Rebecca Millard, and Abigail Millard all of Burlington; grandmother, Marilyn Nicholson of Mediapolis, grandfather, Nathan Millard of Texas; great-grandmother Frances Hill of Burlington; an uncle, James A. Thye of Burlington; an aunt Robin Wheeler of Elmwood, IL; several cousins; and a special family friend, Michael Ochiltree of Oakville. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gene Green Sr.

The funeral service for Angie Millard was held at 1:30 p.m. on thursday, October 26, 1995 at the dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Rev. Robert Hamm will officiate and Bev Parsons will provide organ music. Burial followed at the Edwards Cemetery, Oakville. The family met friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home.

A memorial fund has been established.

The casket bearers included James A. Thye, Ralph E. Smalley, Jeffrey A. Smalley, Thomas Kellogg, Donald Charles, and Donald Strawhacker.
