CHESTER THIRTYACRE

Chester M. Thirtyacre, 72, of 500 Austin Place N.E., Cedar Rapids, died September 18, 1994 following a brief illness. Graveside services were Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1994 at the Wapello Cemetery, Wapello, Iowa.

Survivors include two sons, Clifford of Jacksonville, Florida and Dale of Lincoln Park, Michigan; two daughters, Judith Kelley of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Pam Takos of Attica, New York; four brothers, Clarence of Yakima, Washington, John of Muscatine, Iowa, Dale of Citra, Florida and Gale of North Liberty, Iowa; two sisters, Ola Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Lela Noble of Wapello, Iowa.

Also surviving are ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was born September 9, 1922 in Eldorado, Oklahoma to Clifford and Julia Amen Thirtyacre. He was a jockey and horse trainer for 40 years. During his career he was a jockey and trainer at Churchill Downs, and later worked with the Budweiser Clydesdale horses.
