Mrs. Rhoda Morrison, 76, died at 8 p.m. Monday at the Muscatine County Hospital. She became ill at noon Monday.

Born April E. 1879, in Louisa County, she was the daughter of Joseph Marion and Ann Arning Marion. Her husband died in 1939.

Surviving are three sons, R.F. and Dale Morrison, both of Columbus Junction, and John Morrison, Columbus City; seven daughters, Miss Helen Morrison, Cedar Rapids, Mrs, Dick Fletcher, Mrs. Knowlton Fletcher, Mrs. Edna Martin, Mrs. Max Hammond and Mrs. Douglas Langstaff, all of Wapello, Mrs. Raymond Wilson, Ainsworth; two brothers, Jack Marion, Columbus City, and Harman Marion, Washington, Ia.; 32 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Columbus City Methodist Church with the Rev. George Pennington, Pasor of the church, officiating. The body will lie in state at the Columbus City Methodist Church from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral services. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery under the direction of the Stacy Funeral Home.
