Funeral services for 85-year-old Ila Pearl Miller of Columbus Junction, Iowa, were held on Saturday, August 26, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, Iowa. Visitation was held on Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Ila died late on Wednesday at University Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.

Ila Pearl McNeese was born in rural Washington County, Iowa to James R. and Lillie O. Robertson McNeese. She married Joseph E. Miller May 1, 1929 in Ardmore, South Dakota. He preceded Ila in death September 14, 1976. Ila was a homemaker all her life. Ila had lived in Louisa County since 1946. She was a 40 year member of the Friendly Neighbor Club.

Ila is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Donna Smith, Columbus Junction, Mrs. Jo Ann Nelson, North Liberty, Iowa, Mrs. Carol Thornton, Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Mrs. Joyce Irving, Columbus Junction and a son, James "Pee-Wee" Miller, Cotter, Iowa. there are 19 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 7 step great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Royal McNeese, Britt, Iowa and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Kleese, Wayland, Iowa and Mrs. Lucille Carter, Manly, Iowa.

Ila was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two great-grandson, two brothers, and a sister.
