Glen Eugene Coey III, age 30, 205 SE 2nd Street in Morning Sun, died Wednesday, May 24, 1995, at his residence in Morning sun. The son of Glen and Doreen (Horn) Coey, he was born January 16, 1965, at Burlington, Iowa. On December 26, 1987, he married Tamra Calvin at Morning Sun. He was a graduate of the New London High School; served in the Army for 8 years, including service in Desert Storn; he was employed at CECO Building systems in Mt. Pleasant.

Survivors include: his wife and 2 boys, Cody and Clinton all of Morning Sun; his mother Doreen Ashby of Wayland; stepmother Glenna Coey of Burlington; 3 brothers, Michael Coey of Austin, Texas; Rick and Les Baldwin both of Burlington; 6 sisters, Jeanann Coey of North Liberty; Robin Thomas of Crawfordsville; Glenna Berkhart of Batavia; Sandy Russell of Burlington; Linda DeLarosa of Bastrop, Texas; and Becky Chick of Carroll. He was preceded in death by his father.

The family met with friends Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun. Memorial services were Friday, May 26, 1995, at 10:30 a.m. from the first United Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun, with Rev. Jack Edmisson officiating. The organist was Pamela Butler. Internment of the cremains was at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington with graveside military rites by VFW Post #10102. A general memorial has been established in his name.
