Francis Marion Mahurin was born in Louisville, Ky., August 11, 1850 and died at his home in Clinton, Ia., Feb 13, 1905, after five months of suffering.

On July 26, 1868, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Regger of near Laclede, Mo. to this union was born six children, two dying in infancy. the following are: Mrs. H.C. Boyer, near Wapello; Robert F., of Davenport; Harry of Brookfield, Mo.; Walter H., of Muscatine, Ia. Mrs. Mahurin died Jan. 30, 1890, in Wapello, Ia. Mr. Mahurin was again married Feb., 1891 to Miss Louise Blank, of Grandview, who with one little son, William, are left to mourn the loss of a christian husband and a very serving and kind father. He was laid to rest in the cemetery at clinton, Ia.
