BERNARD BEAN
Muscatine, Iowa – Bernard D. Bean, 55, died Thursday at Muscatine General Hospital.

He retired in April after 25 years at Grain Processing Corp., Muscatine.

Mr. Bean married Peggy Law in 1959 in Aledo, Ill.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Saturday at George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine.

Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Musserville Methodist Church, Muscatine. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.

He was a retired member of Distillery Workers Union; and a member of the church; Musserville Men’s Club; and Men’s Fellowship of the Salvation Army.

He enjoyed the outdoors with his family and gardening and camping with the NYEP.

A memorial fund has been established.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Harry L. “Mike” and Bradley W., both of Muscatine; two grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Mrs. Donald) Keisy, Mount Pleasant; Neva (Mrs. Ralph) Gerling, Grandview; and Beverly (Mrs. Frank) Pershy, Muscatine; and brothers, Stanley, Columbus Junction; Wallace and Danny, both of Muscatine; and Jerry and Larry, both of Ainsworth.
