MARY ESTHER WILSON

Mary Esther Wilson, age 79, Morning Sun, died Monday, April 25, 1994 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

The daughter of Ruebon Edwin and Ellen Martha (Stevens) Griffith, she was born October 25, 1914 at Newport, Iowa. She married Kyle C. Wilson October 23, 1935. She was a graduate of the Morning Sun High School, class of 1932; she then attended and graduated the Burlington Beauty College.

She was a 50 year member of the Morning Sun United Methodist Church. Mary worked as a beautician in Morning Sun for many years.

Survivors include; 1 daughter, De Anne Lindholm, Phoenix, Arizona; 1 son, David Kyle Wilson, Wapello, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, 2 brothers, George Edwin (Rube) Griffith, Morning Sun and Robert Eugene Griffith of Yarmouth. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 1994 at the United Methodist Church in Morning Sun, with Rev. Chris and DeLyte Ebbers, vocal duet. Casket bearers were: Mike Crawford, Darick Wilson, Dow Lindholm, Danny Sands, Brad Griffith, and Bill McElhinney. Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun. A memorial has been established for the United Methodist Church. Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, Morning Sun, was in charge of the arrangements.
