PROMINENT WOMAN SUDDENLY SUCCUMBS

MRS. NICHOLAS LANG DIES AT HOME THIS NOON.

Survived By Husband, Seven Children, One Sister in Muscatine, Two Brothers in Grandview.

Mrs. Nicholas Lang, one of the best known women in the vicinity of Wilton, aged 67 years, passed away at her home five miles southwest of that place this noon at 12:20 o'clock after a short illness. She had been suffering from heart trouble but her condition was not thought serious and her sudden death will be received with great sorrow by her many friends in this county. Her husband is one of the early pioneers of this county, having lived here since 1848, and is reputed to be one of the wealthiest men in the county. Mrs. Lang was born at Grandview, Ia., about 67 years ago, and was united in marriage at that place to Mr. Lang. In 1862 they removed to near Wilton, where they have since resided. She is survived by her husband and seven children, Will Lang, cashier of the Wilton Savings bank, Mrs. W. J. Miller, of Wilton, Mrs. Rolla Herr, of near Wilton, Henry, at Grandview, Ben, Louis and George at home. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Christopher Werner, residing at 1019 Iowa avenue, Muscatine, Ia., and two brothers, Louis and Will Lieberknecht, of Grandview. No funeral arrangements have been made as yet.
