After an illness of about three weeks Mrs. Chas. Pantel passed away at her home in Grandview, Monday, December 21, 1914. Mrs. Pantel was born June 6, 1851, in Griedalwald, Switzerland, thus she was aged 63 years, 6 months and 15 days at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Anna and Fred Blauer. She came to America in 1862 with her parents and settled in Grandview. She was married at the parental home to Chas. Pantel, Dec. 9, 1875. To this union were born three children, Steve residing five miles south of Grandview; Pearl, at home and Bertha, who preceded her in death. Besides the two children left to mourn her loss are her husband, one brother and four sisters. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pantel was converted under Father Judish and was a faithful member of the Congregational church. The funeral services were held from the Congregational church conducted by Rev. M.B. Washington. Interment in Grandview cememtery.
