Lola V. Calvin, 73, of Morning Sun, died Sunday morning, Sept. 26, 1999, at her home.

Born Dec. 29, 1925, at Carthage, Ill., she was the daughter of Emanuel and Frances Nichols Konkler. On May 12, 1946, she married Armand Calvin at Creston. He died June 27, 1994.

Mrs. Calvin was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Church of Creston and was affiliated with United Methodist Church of Morning Sun. She enjoyed embroidering, flowers, animals and everybody's children.

Survivors include eight sons, Emanuel, David, Mark, Destiny, Mike and Robin, all of Morning Sun, Rick of Winfield and Jeff of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Becky Calvin of Fairfield, Margo Kracaw of Morning Sun, and Vicki Kephart of Winfield, 23 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a brother, Richard Konkler of Cozad, Ne.

Besides her husbvand, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and two grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. The body has been cremated.

The funeral service for Mrs. Calvin will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in United Methodist Church in Morning Sun, with the Rev. Chris Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun.
