Cecil Willard Gott, 58, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 1980 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

He was born Sept. 12, 1922 in Conway, Mo., the son of James and Viola Dill Gott. He married Letha Hall, Morning Sun.

He was a truck driver and construction equipment operator, and was a longtime resident of the Morning Sun and Wapello areas.

Surviving; His mother, Conway, Mo.; brothers, Bill, Wapello, Velores, Iowa City, Virgil, Buffalo, Mo., Kenneth, Mendon, Mo., sisters, Florence Bone, Labanon, Mo., Clara Marley, Wapello, Gladys George, Conway, Mo.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Phyllis McCulley was organist.

Pallbearers were Gerrald George, Stephen Avey, Ronald Stargal, Larry Miles, Jame Gott and Kavin Miles.

Flowers were cared for by Ruby Gott and Connie Pierce.

Burial was in the Wapello Cemetery.
