Grandview: Aunt Mary Young died at the home of her son George last Friday at the age of 83 years. Mrs. Young has been sick almost all winter. The funeral services were held at the M. E. Chrch on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Bevan of Letts. Interment was at the Grandview cemetery, by he side of her husband. She leaves several grown children all married but one. She was an old settler of Grandview, having come here a great many years ago from Ohio. She was a member of the Grandview church.

Note 1: Joe young of Muscatine attended the funeral of his mother here last Saturday.

Note 2: Death Book 2, p 238 says Mary Young died Feb. 18, 1897 at Grandview of old age (83). She was born in Germany.
