WAPELLO, Iowa - Services for Elizabeth Theresa "Liz" Hank, 16, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Burial will be in Wapello Cemetery.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today.

Elizabeth died Saturday at Wykert's Landing of the Mississippi River southeast of Oakville. She was born in 1979 in Burlington.

She was a sophomore at Wapello High School, where she was active in track, cross country and softball. Last year, she was chosen to the All Conference Team of cross country. She was named Athlete of the Week last week in the Wapello Republican.

She was employed as a clerk at Jack & Jill Store, Wapello.

Elizabeth was a member of the United Methodist Church, Wapello.

Her hobbies and other interests included country western music, rollerblading and cards.

Memorials may be made to Wapello High School Girls Softball Team and the All-Weather Track Fund.

Survivors include her parents, Theresa and Doug Hank, Wapello; brothers, Brad D. and Tyler J., both at home; grandparents, Pat and Dean Samuels, Wapello, and Joann (Mrs. Kenneth) Brase, Muscatine; and great-grandmothers, Mary Lihs and Lu Hartsock, both of Wapello.
