John L. Dill, Sr., age 64, of Wapello, Iowa, formerly of Conesville, died Thursday, January 19, 2006 at the Wapello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wapello, Iowa.

Graveside services for John were held on Monday, January 23, 2006 at the Conesville Cemetery. Pastor Sharon Phillips of Jesus Mission Church officiated. Casketbearers were Dave Lawrence, Anthony Reddick, Tony Gonzalez, Chito Gonzalez, Jessie Gonzalez and Manuel Palmarez. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in John’s name. John Lynn Dill was born April 21, 1941 in Johnson County, the son of John H. and Katherine W. (Arihood) Dill. On August 10, 1974 John was united in marriage to Aurelia G. Zuniga in Columbus Junction, Iowa. John was employed at Keller Ladder and did odd jobs.

John will be dearly missed by his son, Johnny L. Dill, Jr. of Muscatine and two cousins, Wayne Arihood and his wife, Audrey of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Scott Soy and his wife, Emmy, of Muscatine.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Aurelia, on July 21, 1993.
