Mrs. Cynthia Mary Brenneman, 85, a resident of the Lutheran Homes, Muscatine, formerly of Letts, died at the home Wednesday, December 26, 1984.

Services will be Wednesday, January 2, at the George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home in Muscatine. Rev. LaVern Hubbard of the Fruitland Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. January 1 at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, in Muscatine.

She was born October 25, 1899, at Roseville, Illinois, a daughter of Edwin S. and Gertrude LaCrow Hooten. She was a resident of the Nichols area until 1940, moved to Sweetland and in 1948 moved to Letts. She married Raymond Spurgeon Brenneman on September 19, 1924, in Muscatine.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Brenneman of Muscatine and Virgil Brenneman of Casper, Wyoming; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Darlene) Cornwell of Seattle, Washington and Mrs. Russell (Betty) Jameson of Muscatine; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband in 1983, four sisters and two brothers.
