Doain Dwain Bowman, 64, a resident of Morning Sun, Iowa for the last 10 years, formerly of Muscatine, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1996 at the VA Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 8, at Indian Creek Cemetery. Father Bernie Wier, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Col. Jct., will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday from 9-10 a.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home.

Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bowman was born August 6, 1932 in Cheney, MO., the son of Ira and Gladys Hall Bowman. On February 15, 1960 he married Virginia (Jean) Randall in Stockton, CA. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in the US Army. He was a construction worker for Central Engineering of Davenport, IA.

Mr. Bowman is survived by his wife Jean, at home; 2 sons, Ira Bowman, Muscatine and Doain Douglas Bowman of Kansas; 4 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Dixie) McFadden, Muscatine, Mrs. Efrain (Cheryl) Cardoza, Muscatine, Mrs. Jon (Debbie) Hafner, Letts, and Eva Masterson, Wapello; 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Don (Wanda) Cunningham, Joplin, Mo. and Mrs. Fred (Rita) Winters, Keyes, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.
