Cleda H. Blake dies at hospital

Cleda H. Blake, 76, of Grandview died Tuesday morning at Mercy Hospital where she was taken a few days before. Service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Wednesday noon at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home.

Cleda was Assistant Postmaster at Grandview Post Office for 25 years before retirement. During that time she was also employed by Iowa Southern Unilities company.

Cleda was born August 18, 1908, in Grandview, the daughter of Roy and Hortense O'dell McGill. She married Richard Blake on October 21, 1934, in Muscatine. He died January 25, 1978.

Cleda is survived by two children, Mrs. Marvin (Twyla) Hamilton, Conesville and Robert McGill, Islamorada, Florida; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Twyla Miller, Coshoctin, Ohio; and Mrs. Frances Fry, Grandview.

A memorial as has been established at the funeral home.
