Marcellus A. Bettler, 78, born in Wapello January 5, 1916, died in Houston, Texas. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Bettler; grandson of Mrs. and Mrs. Charles L. Bettler; nephew of Ray Bettler and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver (Bess) Gunnels; and cousin of Dr. Leon Bettler.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ellen, and two sons and their families in Dallas and Houston, Texas.

He was returned to Wapello, October 22, 1994 for interment in the Wapello Cemetery.
