Buried at Wapello

Last rites were held at the Dudgeon funeral home, in Wapello, on St. Valentine's day, for 26-year-old Pvt. Don Lee Austin, 1925-1952, who was killed in action in Korea last October.

Austin was born at Elrick Junction on Sept. 2, 1925, and entered the army at Hillman, Minn., in December, 1950. He was the son of John and Inez Peck Austin, and is survived by his father; a brother, Jack Austin, of Hillman, and his grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Austin, of Elrick Junction, with whom he made his home for 6 years, during which he attended the Oakville Consolidated school.
