Earnest Lee Beaman, age 50, Winfield, died Wednesday, November 2, 1994 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

The son of Charles and Louisa (Lee) Beaman, he was born June 9, 1944 at Columbus Junction, IA.

He was a 1962 graduate of the Winfield-Mt.Union High School; was a member of the Winfield United Methodist Church; was an active volunteer at Midwest Old Threshers for 30 years. He was employed by King Manufacturing before starting work at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield, where he has been head of maintenence since June of 1976.

He is survived by his mother of Winfield; his father of Stratford, TX; one brother Ray and his wife Vicki of West Burlington; a sister-in-law, Florence Beaman of Winfield; four aunts and uncles and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother Beryl Beaman.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 6, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Methodist Church in Winfield with Rev. Anne Lippincott and Rev. Jim Edwards officiating. Interment was in the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. The family met with friends Saturday evening from 7-8:00 p.m. at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. A general memorial has been established in his name.
