Daniel M. Barrick, 75, Muscatine, died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine.

A Memorial Service was held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 7, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home in Muscatine, followed by a luncheon in the Community Room of the funeral home.

A Daniel Barrick Memorial Fund has been established.

Mr. Barrick was born March 1, 1925, at Morning Sun, the son of Raymond and Isa Curran Barrick. On May 12, 1961, he married Hazel Snyder.

He worked at V.H. Willis Company as a foreman for more than 35 years.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Barrick of Muscatine; two sons, Michael Barrick and wife Anna of Aurora, Colo., and Thomas Snyder of Iowa City; three daughters, Beverly Turner and husband Glen of Petaluma, Calif., Cheryl Peterson and husband Bill of Muscatine and Diane Meyer and husband Thomas of Muscatine; nine grandchildren, Kerryann, Sierra, Lindsey, Whitney, Heather, Max, Emily, Joseph and Matthew; one brother, Fred Barrick and wife Mary Jo of Aurora, Colo.; and one sister, Barbara Holmquist of Wapello.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
