Her obit, written in German in unknown Louisa county newspaper, translated by Melvin Goeldner of Osceola, IA on July 24, 1969.

GRAUWINKEL- Elizabeth Grauwinkel was born on the 20th of March 1823 in Grundelhardt, Grailsheim, Wurttemberg, and died on the 2nd of January 1898 from a concussion of the brain. From an earlier marriage to Brother Oestereicher there was one son who survives. Short was their happy marriage. Later, she found a marriage companion in Brother Grauwinkel. She lived 35 years in wedded happiness, not without sorrow or care, but always resigned to God's will and ready through great sacrifice to bring true peace and happiness. In the prime of her life she gave her heart to God; converted under the word of Brother Sen, she joined the church and stood fast and true until her recent death. She leaves her deeply grieving husband, one son from her first marriage and one son from her second marriage.Sister Grauwinkel was a true disciple of the Lord. She was a genuine example of womanliness, benevolent and affable, an highly esteemed wife and mother. her funeral text, which she herself chose "Through his wounds we are healed" IS. 53:5 gives evidence of her relationship to God.

Rosena "Elizabeth" Reiner married 1) Johann "Georg" Oesterreicher and 2) Herman "Henry" Grouwinkel. Her surviving chidlren were George Frederick "Fred" Oesterreicher of Shelby, NE and William "Henry" Grouwinkel of this county.
