Steven Charles Beik, age 34, of Wapello, Iowa, died Monday afternoon,m Dec 14, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The son of Clayton 'Pete' and Janet Bean Beik, he was born on March 22,m 1974 at Burlington.

Steven graduated from Wapello High School in 1992. He enjoyed drawing, cooking, and camel collecting. He was employed at Seico Building Systems at Mt. Pleasant.

He is survived by two sons, Tyler and Mason both at home; his parents, Pete and Janet Beik of Wapello; his maternal grandmother, Lila Bean of Mediapolis; a brother, Scot and Danielle Beik of Morning Sun; a nephew, Garrett Beik; and a special friend, Meaghan Carney. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marcus and Ivy Beik and his maternal grandfater, Jack Bean.

The funeral for Steven Beik will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello with Pastor Dan Doolin officiating. Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery at Grandview.

The family will meet with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. A Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of the Wapello Rescue Unit.
