Abbie M. Adamson, 104, formerly of rural Agency, Iowa, died March 24, 2001, at the Forsyth Care Center in Forsyth, Missouri.

Abbie was born March 6, 1897, in Wapello, Iowa, the daughter of James and Rachel Deppy Reynolds. She married William Adamson on February 1, 1921, He preceded her in death in April of 1981.

A resident of Wapello County, Iowa until 1988, she moved to Forsyth, Missouri. She wa a member of the Agency United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Surviving is a daughter, Dorothy M. Wheaton, of Forsyth, Missouri; three grandchildren and a foster granddaughter; three great-grandchildren and four foster great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Paul Grouwinkel of Columbus Junction and two sisters, Vera Wiley of Conesville and Berniece Newhard of Sun City West, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter; a brother, George Grouwinkel; and four sisters; Effie Crammond, Elizabeth McCulley, Maude Stone, and Mabel Story.

Funeral services were held March 28, at the Agency United Methodist Church. Rev. Judy Deweber officiated. Burial was in Agency Cemetery. Casketbearers were Roger and Gregory Wheaton, Bob and Gene Glenn, Charles McBeth and Ferrell Wiley.

Memorials may be made to the Agency United Methodist Church.
