Funeral services for Dr. Mannie F. Anderson, father of Mrs. E. R. Hicklin of Wapello, of 1347 N. Euclid Ave, Phoenix, Arizona who died in Phoenix rest home February 2, 1962, were held Sunday afternoon February 4, 1962.

The services were at 3 p.m. in the Arizona Mortuary with the Marion McDaniel Lodge No. 56, F & AM. officiating. Burial in Wapello, Iowa.

Dr. Anderson born in Sweden in 1867 came to the United States with his parents who settled in Iowa. He earned degrees in medicine and denistry at the University of Iowa.

Retired when he moved to Tucson 36 years ago, Anderson earned a bachelor's degree in zoology at the University of Arizona and studied other subjects for more than 15 years. He was prominent in the university's Archeology and Historical Society and was known as a widely read student of religious history and the Bible.

Survivors include a son Maurice, of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Hicklin of Wapello and (?) grandchildren.
