Mrs. Nellie Anderson Called By Death January 1, 1971

Mrs. Nellie May Anderson, 81, life resident of Mt. Union, died Friday, January 1, 1971, at Huntsville, Ala.

She was born December 16, 1889, at Mt. Union, daughter of Adolpheous and Nellie Lutes Mathews. She married Axel B. Anderson, December 16, 1908, at Mt. Union. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Mt. Union.

Surviving are her husband; sons Harold, Winfield, Dale, Burlington, Gerald, Mt. Union, Paul, Huntsville; daughters, Mrs. Francis Oliver, Alexis, Ill., Mrs. Lorena Williams, Columbus Junction, Mrs. Pauline Wilson, Peoria, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Glen Mathews, Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Elliott Chapel, New London, with Rev. Ralph Maddison officiating. Burial in Trinity Cemetery north of New
London.
