Services Friday for Kay Ruge

Funeral services for Kay W Ruge, 47, business manager of The Express from November of 1953 until June 1 of this year, will be held Friday, July 1, at 2 p.m. at the Sellergren Funeral home here. He died Wednesday, June 29, 1960, in Murphy Memorial hospital here after an illness of about three months.

Mr. Ruge had been employed by the Express since 1947 and before that had lived in Churdan, Bagley and Coon Rapids.

The son of Dr. and Mrs. William A Ruge, he was born Dec. 29, 1912 at Churdan and was married at Wapello, June 10, 1940, to Leona A. Plumb, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Cathryn Kay, at home; two sisters, Lucille E. Ruge and Mrs. O. G. Prescott, both of Iowa city; his father, Fulda, Minn.

Mr Ruge was a member of the First Methodist church here, the BPOE, IOOF, Masonic Lodge, OES, Craftsman's association and the Red Oak Country Club.
