Eleanor OTHMER dies at Manor

Eleanor Mary OTHMER, 76, died Monday, November 5, 1984, at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction. She was formerly of Muscatine.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the St. Matthias Church in Muscatine with Father Charles Gannon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Muscatine.

The daughter of Philip and Ethel WHITNEY-SCHWEITZER, she was born May 4, 1908, at Muscatine. She managed the Sears Catalog office for many years until 1957 when she moved to Michigan. She had recently returned to Iowa.

Survivors include two daughters, Sally STARK of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Margaret THARP of Edmond, Oklahoma; three granddaughters; six grandsons; one great granddaughter; three brothers, John SCHWEITZER of Texarkana, Texas, Cletus SCHWEITZER of Palm Springs, California, and Bart SCHWEITZER of Columbus Junction; two sisters, Welma PATTERSON of Muscatine and Frances VAN DUREN of Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one grandson.

The George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
