Old Settler Gone!
Adam Crim dies at the age of eighty years

Adam Crim was born in Old Virginia, near Washington, D.C., June 25, 1813, and died at the residence of his son, C.M. Crim, in Columbus Junction, this morning, November 29, 1893. He was consequently over eighty years of age at the time of his death. In 1826, with his parents he moved to Carroll county, Ohio. This he made his home until 1851 when he cmae to Iowa and settled on the old Crim homestead in Union township, which remained his home until some time after the loss of his wife, ten years ago. He was married in 1838 to Miss Catherine Allbaugh. To them eleven children were born. The eldest died in infancy; the other ten are still living. They are Lemuel in California, Morris in Nebraska; Margaret Raymond and Chas. M., of this vicinity; Adam T. of Seattle; Catherine Tatman, Rachel Carr and Geo. W. of Union township; Wellington, Nebraska, and Jane Todd of South Dakota.

Mr.Crim was for many years a member of the Reformed Church. His funeral occurs tomorrow, November 30, at 11 o'clock from Bethel church, near his old home. He was one of Louisa county's most upright citizens.
