CEREMONY PERFORMED AT HOME OF BRIDE'S BROTHER
Engagement Had Been Kept a Profound Secret, Only Immediate Relatives Being Present.
With none but the immediate relatives present, Mrs. Josie Dunphy, residing at 418 Grandview avenue, was married to William Walker, of Grandview, at the home of her brother, W. Riley Rice, on Stewart road Saturday evening, the ceremony being conducted by Dr. J. N. Elliott, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. The engagement had been kept a secret and only a few relatives were made cognizant of the nuptials.
Mr. Walker, a retired farmer at Grandview, is well known in church and social circles in South Muscatine. Immediately following the marriage ceremony, the couple went to Grandview to the home especially prepared by Mr. Walker for his bride.
