A BEAUTIFUL JUNE WEDDING YESTERDAY
Ganny Hook and Harold Beik United in Marriage.
PROMINENT IN SOCIAL CIRCLES
Ceremony Solemnized at Four p.m. in the Presence of About One Hundred Guests Rev. J. E. Newsom Officiating.
A very pretty home wedding of Wednesday evening, June 21st, took place at the country residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Hook, when their daughter, Fanny, became the bride of Mr. Harold Beik. A company of about one hundred relatives and friends witnessed the ceremony. As the hour of four o'clock approached the wedding march was heard, Mr. Hugh Newsom, of Wapello, being at the piano. The bridal couple took their places on the large porch, attended by Mr. Fred Wiederrecht and Miss Lenna Beck, for the ceremony which was performed by Rev. J. E. Newsom, pastor of the
M. E. church of this city. The bride looked beautiful in her gown of white silk crepe and carried a shower bouquet of white roses. Her maid was becomingly attired in tan voile. The porch was a beautiful sight, having the appearance of a bower of oak leaves and ferns. Following the ceremony and congratulations some excellent music was furnished by the young people. Hugh Newsom gave a number of piano solos and Fred Wiederrecht sang some beautiful songs. The quartet, Hugh Newsom, Fred Wiedderrect, Harold Beik and Harry Grim, also gave some of their popular selections. The guests were then served a delicious three course wedding dinner. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts.
Miss Hook was born and raised on the old farm home, near Toolesboro....
