MCGILL, HUNTER

The button factory at Grandview, operated by S. H. McGill of this city, burned to the ground early Saturday morning about 2 o'clock, destroying all the contents. It will be remembered that the night was a stormy one and the high wind spread the fire rapidly. This is the second time that the Grandview factory has burned in the last few years.

The exact cause of the fire is unknown, but many are of the opinion that it was of incendiary origin. A button factory is usually water soaked inside and the heavy rain soaked the exterior, and this has led many to believe that the building was set on fire. However, no one is suspicioned and the company in which it is insured will probably adjust the loss without investigation.

M. Hunter of this city, agent of the company in which the factory holds insurance, has received notice that a man will be in Grandview in a few days to adjust the loss.
