A pretty home wedding was solemnized yesterday at high noon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Pallett in Louisa county when their daughter, Miss Mattie Pallette, became the bride of Harvey Brown, son of Mrs. Mead of near Garden Cty.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Miller, pastor of the Evangelical church at Grandview and the couple was attended by Miss Bertha Buell and Berl Pallette, the latter a brother of the bride.

A large arch made of pink and white roses and smilax had been erected in the south parlor where the marriage was solemnized.

The bride wore a charming gown of white messaline with shadow lace and bead trimmings. She carried a shower bouquet of bride roses and wore a pearl necklace, the gift of the groom.

The bridemaid's dress was a pretty creation of pink messaline with overlace trimmings.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at charmingly appointed tables, the bride's table being centered with a large crystal vase filled with pink and white rosebuds.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown will make their home with the bride's parents for the present.

Out-of-town guests in attendance at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Long, and Mr. and Mrs. George Hines and daughters, Evaline and Hazel, all of West Liberty, and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Long and daughter, Lucile of this city.
