Announcement is made of the engagement and approaching marriage of Jo Ann Barnhart, 122 W. 3rd St., to Richard E. Nelson of Milan. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Barnhart. He is the son of Ruth A. Nelson of Moline and the late Clark J. Nelson.

The couple will be married in a private ceremony Feb. 28. All friends and relatives are invited to a reception that afternoon from 2-5 p.m. at the Muscatine Holiday Inn honoring the couple.

Both are employed by Muscatine General Hospital.
