Rev. and Mrs. C.L. Wilson well know residents of Columbus City, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Tuesday. They have been residents of Columbus City 17 years, during which time Rev. Mr. Wilson preached for the Church of God people in this vicinity a part of the time but for the past few years has retired. Mrs. Wilson, who was Miss Jennie Fleagle, was born at Westmoreland, Md., and Mr. Wilson was a native of Pennsylvania. Those who spent the day with them were their son Edwin at home and daughter Mrs. Geo. Boileau and Miss Florence of Washington, and Mrs. Wilson's sister, Mrs. Frank Paxson of Columbus City. The children who were not present at the wedding anniversary were Logan, who is at Camp Mills with the 168th Inf.; Mrs. R.H. Dameron of New London; Mrs. F.L. Lauser of Osceola; B. S. Wilson of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. S. M. Arthur of Ft. Dodge. The bride's cake was made by Mrs. Boileau and the flowers which decorated the table were sent by Mrs. Arthur. All wish them many more happy anniversaries.
