Myron Berry, Former Marion Resident, Dies

Myron S. Berry, 60, a Fort Dodge resident since 1953 and formerly of Cedar Rapids and Marion, died Tuesday in his home in Fort Dodge.

Born Oct. 31, 1916, at Marion he was married to Dorothy Quass July 1, 1941. He was a graduate of Marion high school and Iowa State college, and was a building contractor. He served with the U.S. army corps of engineers during World war II and in the Korean conflict. Mr. Berry was president of C. Glenn Walker Co., Inc., of Fort Dodge. He was a member of the First United Methodist church, Rotarty, Masonic lodge, Shrine, and the Iowa Engineering Society.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Bion E. Hitchcock, Bartlesville, Okla., and Mrs. Russell A. Andres, jr., of Cardiff, Calif.; two grandchildren, and a brother, Albert Berry of Marion.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at the Murdoch chapel in Marion by Dr. Wayne Shoemaker of the Fort Dodge First United Methodist church. Burial: Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel after 6 p.m. Friday.
