Sam Smith, Victims of Bull's Horn is Dead at Hospital.
Samuel Smith, 86, residing 4 miles west on the Covington Road, who was gored by a bull Thursday about 1 PM died at a local hospital at 12:25 PM yesterday as the results of his injuries. The accident happened when Mr. Smith attempted to drive the animal back into the pasture from where it had escaped. His shouts for hekp were heard by Mrs. Robert Smith who rushed out to find him unconscious and bleeding from the mouth and nose. R R Slade, federal agent, Max Avery and George Hope, who were passing at the time, carried the injuried man to the house and a doctor was summoned. He was later brought to a local hospital (a piece seems to be missing),
He was born June 16, 1838 in Smethport Pa and had lived in Linn Countuy for seventy years. Mr Smith is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bell Lazenby of Omaha and four sons: William H of Quasqueton, E E of Brandon; S G of Togo, Canada; and Robert R at home. He also leaves one siste, Mrs. Violetta Klumph of Seattle, WA.

Funeral services For Samuel Graves Smith, who died November 23, will be held in the Covington Church at 1:30 PM Friday conducted by the Rev Bruce R West. Burial will be made in the Spring Grove Cemetery.
