KIRKPATRICK--Died, at the residence of his uncle, Mr. Ross, on the 1st of August, 1877, James Carson Kirkpatrick, aged 5 years, 8 months.

Dyptheria was the disease from which he suffered for nine days when death came to his relief. He is taken away from "the evil to come." We believe he sleeps in Jesus who is "the resurrection and the life." Let not the surviving friends mourn as those who have no hope.
