Longtime Walker Resident Dies
WALKER - Dannie P. Mahoney, 81, retired farmer and a resident of Walker community for the last 40 years, died Saturday morning at his home.

Born March 15, 1887, at Castle Grove, he was married Jan. 10, 1912, at Ryan to Elizabeth McAreavy. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church of Walker.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Leaven of San Bruno, Calif., Mrs. Ralph Zieser of Center Point, Mrs. Leonard Zieser of Urbana and Mrs. Harold Kramer of Urbana; one son, Daniel Mahoney of Walker; two sisters, Julia and Nellie Mahoney, and a brother, Joe Mahoney, all of Manchester; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A Requiem High Mass will be offered by the Rev. Robert V. Swift at noon Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
