Stephen “Steve” S. Kolar, Age 70, passed away at his home in Cedar Rapids, IA on Friday, September 9, 2022.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Sunday, September 18 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. A memorial service will begin at 11 AM with Pastor Paul Hennings officiating. A private inurnment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of the Cross.

Steve was born on July 13, 1952 in Viroqua, WI. He was the son of the late Royce and Leora “Lonnie” (Fry) Kolar. On November 15, 1975, Steve married the love of his life, Diane Helbing in Platteville, WI. Steve started American Inspections in 1990. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beloved family.

Those left to cherish Steve’s memory are his wife, Diane of Cedar Rapids; his sons, Andrew Kolar of Solon, IA, Jason Kolar of West Des Moines, and Scott Kolar of West Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Colton and Mya Kolar; and his siblings, John “Jack” (Judy) Kolar of Osseo, WI, and Nancy Kolar of Newburgh, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents.
