OBITUARY
Dean Aldes Gould, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, August 15, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center following a short illness. Private family services will be held at Teahen Funeral Home. Burial: St. John's Cemetery.
Dean is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pat; four children, David of Newton, Anthony of Cedar Rapids, Jean and husband Ray Mcquilliam of Marion and Deanna and husband Kevin Limkemann of Dundee; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Charles; sister, Janet and husband Richard Rowell; and sister-in-law, Joyce.
Dean was born on January 18, 1939 in Caledonia, MN, son of Lee and Henrietta Schutz Gould. He graduated from St. Wenceslaus High School. Dean served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. On October 2, 1965 Dean married Patricia De Forest at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. He was an assembly mechanic for Iowa Manufacturing and retired in 2001. Dean was a gold member of the VFW Post #788.
Dean enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and storm chasing. He was a great family man who loved spending time with them. Dean will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
