Obituary for Paul Moore
Paul was born on Dec 24, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Paul L. and Birdella N. Moore.

Suffragan Bishop Paul was educated in the St. Paul Minnesota Public School System. After which he attended St. Mary’s College. He then enlisted in the US Army and served one term, at which time he was injured with a serious back injury while serving in Germany.

At the age of 11 he was baptized in Jesus Name at Christ Temple Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. After which we received the gift of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as God gives utterance.

Paul was married to Debra Goodwin on January 28, 1975, at that time he was working with troubled youth which he had a passion for.

Paul was affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World where he served as an associate minister, under the tutelage of the late Bishop Norman L. Wagner. He then was elevated to Pastoring the sheep of God’s Kingdom. His Pastorate was in Weirton, West Virginia for many years. He also Pastored in Cleveland, Ohio, and then founded the ministry, Abundant Harvest in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Paul was promoted to the office of Suffragan Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Organization.

Paul departed this life on August 6, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 202, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Radiant Church, 3233 Blairs Ferry Road NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Debra; three sons and three daughters; a sister, Jacquelyne (Lee) Hays of Jacksonville, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul L. Moore; his mother, Birdella N. Moore; and a brother, Robert Curtis Moore.
