Brittany Marie Salyars Easterday, 35, of Cedar Rapids died on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Services: 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 13 at the Residence Inn, 730 33rd Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Brittany is survived by her mom Jenene McLaughlin; dad Bret Burkey (Misty Carlson); daughter Ciara Emerson; son Zachariah Easterday; brother Chris (Elizabeth) McLaughlin; significant other Ryan Horn; former husband Zachary Easterday and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and great grandparents.
Brittany was born on July 5, 1988 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Bret Burkey and Jenene Salyars. She attended Jefferson High School. Brittany worked as a cashier at Hawkeye Convenience Store.
Brittany enjoyed being outdoors, taking nature walks and going to parks. She enjoyed listening to all types of music and was an animal lover. Brittany’s family, especially her children were her world and she loved spending time with them.
