Aloysius "Al" Boeding, 88, of rural Ely, died early Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Father Aaron Junge. Burial with military graveside services will follow at Czech National Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 30, at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E., and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
